Duplex Service Drop Wire
Duplex service drop wire or duplex service drop cable, has two electrodes that are laid out in a concentric thread. One is bare and acts as a neutral conductor, Anoher one is an insulated phase electrode. The neutral messengers are concentrically stranded AAC, AAAC, or ACSR. The phase conductors are concentrically stranded compressed 1350-H19 AAC and insulated PVC or XLPE.
Utilized mostly for 120 volt overhead service applications such temporary construction service and outdoor illumination. To be utilized with conductor temperatures no more than 75°C for conductors insulated with polyethylene or 90°C for conductors insulated with crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) and a phase-to-phase voltage of no more than 600 volts.
